Leanna's progress

Just a quick note to let you know Leanna reached another milestone last night. I put her to bed in her very own crib, and after a bit heard her screaming--VERY unusual. I went in to check on her, and here she was standing at the end of the bed, hanging on for dear life and unable to get back down!

And we got back from camping safe and sound. There's lots of pictures to go through, and not sure when I'll get around to it, but we had a wonderful time!

Just to let you know, we're leaving early in the morning for a camping trip. We aren't bringing the computer, so no emails or updates from now till Sunday or Monday at the earliest!

And a big praise the Lord! It's raining right now!!!!!!!

Micah and Amy's Wedding Pictures!

Here, at last, are a few of the pictures from Micah and Amy's wedding on Saturday! These are just a few of the favorites that I took--these aren't all-inclusive or anything. ;-) Everything went so well, but it was a very long, tiring weekend. What a blessing to see pure, godly couples get married!

Last day of school!

End of the school year celebration!

On Thursday, June 14, Jaron finished his frist "official" school year--K4. He can now write the entire alphabet (copying some of the letters yet), his name from memory, numbers, and is getting the idea of some basic math concepts. He, of course, knows colors and shapes from doing some pre-school type stuff last year.

By the way, if you notice the letters/numbers on the cake don't look perfectly straight, the frosting was rocky road with nuts and marshmallows, and there was no way the writing was going to look anything close to professional! :-)

Next year Jaron will be doing K5, and I'll be starting to do some pre-school things with Eliott. I'm already looking forward to it!

Life keeps moving right along

I'm not exactly sure where to start. We've just been busy! The little ones are growing up, and the garden is growing in leaps and bounds. Leanna started sitting up from being on her tummy last week! That really makes her seem more grown up. She seems like such a big girlie. . .

On Friday I pick 4-5 gallons worth of peas and spent the day shelling them. The boys helped some, and I did school with Jaron while my hands were occupied. This is the best pea crop by far we've ever had from this garden! I picked 6-7 gallons today, and am guessing there's another pail full that will be ready in a couple more days. Today, though, I'm getting some help with the shelling as Anita plans to come for part of the afternoon. I'm really looking forward to that! The first potatoes we put in are flowering already, and it's more than high time to put the tomato cages up. But we're also busy with getting ready for Micah's wedding on Saturday, and other activities that of course go along with having family together. Plus last Saturday we spent most of the afternoon at our nephew's birthday party. Well, so goes summertime!

I'm assuming the next time I update it will be with pictures from the wedding things! Till then, God bless you!

Sunshine and fresh peas. . .

The last few days the weather has ben absolutely perfect! Warm, sunny days without being too hot, blue sky with big, fluffy white clouds, green grass, and stuff coming up like mad in the garden. Yes, the weeds too. . . :-( But I killed a few of them today as I was out picking peas. :-) Jaron and Eliott helped for awhile, then got bored and found other things to do till the picking was over and it was time to shell. They both came to help shell, and loved it! Jaron commented that he likes to shell peas more than he likes to play! Combine that with a long conversation on learning to work and the consequences of not working, on the shady deck with the wind chime singing in the backround, and Eliott's chubby face wreathed in smiles as he "popped" his own pea shell open all by himself. Well, life just doesn't get better than this! Wish I could have had someone peek around the corner with a camera so I could show you all about it. . .

Our dear wee threesome after Saturday night baths. Look how brown those boys' arms are! Guess they must be spending a lot of time outside.

Our Leanna, all dressed up in her Sunday best. She still takes the cake for the happiest baby I've ever met!
